Grounded

The other day, after reading in the Scriptures, I began reading a magazine article on inventors and scientists. It was steeped in evolutionary thought. How disgusting, I thought. What a let down.

It’s to be expected, of course. But where’s their grounding in reality?

Turn on the radio and listen to the idiotic music and its shallow, self-centered subject matter. How grounded in reality is that?

What about TV? Video gaming? Or just listen to the everyday conversation around you. Is any of it grounded in reality?

When I read God’s Word, I know I’m going to be faced with what’s real. And I’m faced with Who is real.

Hebrews 4:12-13 says…

12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
