Aliens Causing Problems

Genesis 6:1-5–
1. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Good men disagree on the interpretation of the verses above. I hold to the view that fallen angels somehow interbred with humans. Good seed vs. bad seed, which is an idea that goes back to the Fall of Man and God’s first promise of the Messiah in Genesis 3:15.

Whether or not you agree with this view, I ask you to consider the following as food for thought.

Have you heard of the notion that space aliens were here thousands of years ago? How about the possibility that they’ve visited us over the centuries? Have you heard of the idea that the explosion in technological advances in the last several decades is the result of the introduction of alien technology?

Some think Christians aren’t able to handle such concepts. It all comes together if you believe the presumed aliens are actually demonic manifestations.

It appears to be the secular scientists who can’t handle the latest revelations about mankind’s beginnings. I read an article called “Discovery of ‘Alien’ DNA in Human Genome Challenges Darwin’s Theory.” Did you ever think you’d see anything that would cause unbelievers to question evolution?

What’s more, it’s not often you see an article that quotes Genesis 6, as that article does. Of course, the authors prefer space aliens over fallen angels or demons as the source of foreign DNA.

But to question the foundations of evolution? Oh, my, what are things coming to?

The idea of space aliens intermingling with mankind thousands of years ago isn’t new. I remember seeing a TV special on it back in the 1970’s. And who knows how old the concept was then? But now there’s presumably DNA evidence to corroborate the notion.

This may be a welcome development to some. Not long ago I heard one of those overnight programs–it might have been Coast to Coast AM–discussing alien abductions and attempts to hybridize humans and aliens. Could the devil and his minions be trying to repeat Genesis 6? It’s not out of the realm of possibility, is it?

The transhumanists will think it’s another step forward for humanity. God no doubt has other ideas. He has promised not to flood the whole earth again, as described in Genesis 7-8; but won’t it be fascinating to see what His next move will be?
