How to Keep Prophecy from Coming True

The following communication appears to have come from among the massive number of files released by one of those famous whistleblowers we’ve heard so much about in the news in recent years…

Welcome aboard, Rosencrans,

It’s a pleasure to accept you in as the new Delegate #70 in the wake of the sad, mysterious passing of the previous Delegate #70. One can’t be too careful these days, you know. But duty calls, and time marches on.

The Chairman has tasked me with bringing you up to speed on a few of the basics. I’m sure you’re familiar with most of them, or you wouldn’t have achieved your esteemed new position. But humor me a while as I go over just a few highlights. And, as always, if you have questions, tap me on the shoulder at the next board meeting, and we’ll arrange to meet privately.

It was the brilliant idea of Delegate #33 back in the early part of our current century to see to it that U.S. President George W. Bush was accused of fomenting trouble in the Middle East with the purpose of bringing on Armageddon. Bush’s “daddy problems” with the Old Man fit into our plans for Iraq quite nicely. But more on that shortly.

If you’re not aware of it already, Delegate #33’s trolls have done a marvelous hatchet job on the Scofield Bible and the dispensational view of theology, don’t you think? This has really kept people off the track. #33 received a handsome reward for that at our annual banquet in 2011.

As you know, our real purpose is to do everything in our power to thwart the prophetic plan laid out in that deplorable book known as the Bible. This is especially critical because the Chairman knows his time is short. We need all you can bring to the table, #70. Don’t underestimate your role in this important venture. And, certainly, disclose it to no one, including your fellow delegates.

Now, on to my main points.

You’ll recall that the late Saddam Hussein of Iraq was making great strides to rebuild and restore ancient Babylon in the 1980’s and ’90’s. I can’t comprehend his fascination with that, but it was clear he absolutely had to be stopped. Delegate #23 had his work cut out for him, and his team wasn’t able to carry out their task in the first attempt.

This was important since it was enough that a place on the map known as Israel had already come about several decades before. That got Christians and Jews all around the world caught up in a frenzy. Since then they’ve been convinced prophecy is coming true. We couldn’t possibly allow the rise of the literal Babylon as predicted in that horrid book. We must maintain confusion regarding its true identity.

Delegate #66 is someone who knows his job is a tough one. Americans must not find out that their entanglements in the Middle East and beyond are for Israel and for oil. Of course, that’s an oversimplification, but it will do for my purposes here.

However, I can say without reservation that the support of Zionists in Israel by Christians has been a tremendously powerful tool for us. I can’t help but chuckle every time I think how undiscerning so-called Bible believing Christians are. They think they’re supporting Jews by supporting Israel.

But lest you get the wrong idea about Israel, their existence has proven to be a wonderful thing for us. Who would have thought rabbid Zionists could do us so much good? We’ve been wildly successful at opening up old wounds and creating new ones in that region of the world. We’ve had to put a whole team of delegates on the matter of Israel, and several teams are busy as bees.

Thanks to Israel, the U.S. is being led by the nose down a path to their own destruction. It’s a lovely thing to see such a great Christian country being brought to its knees. While their soldiers fight proxy wars for Israel, they’re unwittingly doing all they can to foster the rise of a brand of radical Islam that makes ordinary Muslims shudder. But this does so much to bring about the persecution of Christians around the world, which pleases radical elements among Muslims and Jews alike. It’s so beautiful to see!

Oh, yes, I know America isn’t in prophecy as outlined in the Bible; but that’s a concession we’ve had to make to achieve a larger goal. It’s for the greater good. Casualties of war, I believe they call it.

The rise of ISIS has been another fabulous weapon in our arsenal. The Chairman will soon send you a package containing briefings on all the friendly intelligence agencies who have helped create ISIS. So far, the doctored videos of killings in the past few months have created far more sensation than the destruction of ancient sites. And that’s as it should be. The more that can be destroyed behind the scenes, the better. Again, remember the goal is to keep prophecy from coming to pass.

Our delegates have good teams working under them, and they’ve done a superb job of making a thoroughly chaotic mess of big name places like Egypt and Libya. We’re working on Syria and Iran, too; but those are proving to be tough nuts to crack. Delegates #39 and #47 can tell you all about that. #39 has nearly had a breakdown over it. The Chairman assures us we won’t give up though.

Russia is another tough one. Delegate #57 has his hands full. The U.S. and their NATO allies have done all they can to surround and isolate Russia, but it’s very slow going. The goal is to encircle them and cut them off so no prophecies come true concerning Russia attacking Israel, as many believe is predicted in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

On the down side, Russia is being driven to strengthen once unthinkable bonds with China. That makes the Chairman a little uncomfortable. After all, there’s something in prophecy about large armies from the East, isn’t there? If it must come to pass somehow, we want to make it work to our advantage.

And then there’s Delegate #19’s territory–Greece. Did you know some Christian Bible teachers believe AntiChrist will arise from there? I suppose he’d be something like a modern Alexander the Great. So, as you can see, we’ve got to keep the screws tightened down on that country. Their new government is giving us problems though. So keep your eye on Greece.

All of this glorious chaos in so-called Bible lands paves the way for an AntiChrist who will bring wonderful peace and order out of chaos. That’s what we want, after all. Then the real god can proclaim himself. And we’re not about to disclose who he is or where he’ll arise from. The Chairman has been unusually tight lipped about that one.

Now, let’s look at the big picture in the U.S. for a minute.

As you’re well aware, most Americans have no idea their sons and daughters are dying to create chaos in countries mentioned in Bible prophecy. To them, it’s all about bringing freedom and democracy in backward places while keeping America safe. I’m so thrilled when I hear someone say, “We’ve got to fight them over there, or they’ll be fighting us in our streets here.” Doesn’t that simply send chills up your spine, #70? It jolly well should.

Remember that one of our chief goals is to keep Americans frightened and confused. They must not learn to trust one another, or we run the risk they’ll unify. Therefore, we’ve fostered talk of things like the possibility of a coming civil war. Fears of the Mark of the Beast is another excellent diversion. We’re also encouraging the fear of radical Islam. Make them look for a Muslim under every rock, so to speak.

By the way, the use of mysterious plane crashes in the past year or so as diversions from the truth has been quite useful, wouldn’t you agree? Such incidents create so much buzz. The rumors fostered are simply delicious.

But back to my larger poin about Americans.

Creating and maintaining a state of delusion is imperative. The myths surrounding 9/11 must be upheld, as well as the fables surrounding the acts of alleged terrorism. You know the ones–the Underwear Bomber and the Boston Marathon bombing, to name but two.

The average man or woman must be discouraged from investigating world events as explained in the so-called alternative media as well. Cat videos and Twitter have been helpful in this regard. Sports, as it has been for centuries, must also continue to be one of our most prominent diversions. Besides, who can trust any of that crazy conspiracy stuff on the Internet anyway, right #70? You know what I mean.

I could go on, but I believe I’ve given you enough to chew on for the moment. Once again, welcome aboard, Delegate #70. May you live long and prosper.

Delegate #13

Editor’s note: The above piece is a work of fiction. But it’s not as “tongue in cheek” as you might think. If you look at world events today and in the past 25 years or so, I believe you’ll see it makes a lot of sense. The old addage is borne out–Truth is stranger than fiction.

Psalm 2:1-6–
1. Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3.Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4.He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

John 10:10–
10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
